wolsey-place.jpgAn inquest will open on Wednesday into the death of a man who fell from the fourth floor of Wolsey Place car park at the weekend.

Police confirmed a 46-year-old man of no fixed address, died at about 4.30pm on September 20th, after falling from the council-run car park in Woking town centre.

They do not believe anyone else was involved.

woking-park-3-1.jpgPolice are hunting a 16-year-old boy who indecently assaulted three teenage girls and exposed himself at Woking Park.

Detectives say the girls, two aged 17 and one aged 18, were walking a dog by the skateboard area when the offender and his accomplice jumped a fence and asked for their phone numbers.

Alert over 'confusing' con artists

conwomen.jpgShopkeepers are being warned to look out for two foreign-accented scamsters who confuse cashiers and pocket money.

The pair stole £80 from Seafare in Hermitage Road in St John's, Woking, after buying a can drink and asking the cashier to change £200 worth of £20 into £10 notes.

missingteen.jpgPolice are appealing for help to trace a missing teenager who grew up in Woking and has links to the area.

Bethany Cunningham, aged 15, was staying long-term in Enstone, near Chipping Norton, from where she went missing on Saturday September 6.

The scheme, being carried out by Woking Council alongside Surrey County Council, will build on the present cycle network from Brookwood to Byfleet, borough councillors were told on September 4.

A Woking hotel which refused a room to an injured soldier on leave from Afghanistan has apologised after its action led to a public outcry.

Corporal Tomos Stringer, 23, was forced to spend the night in his car after he showed his military ID card at the reception of The Metro Hotel and was told that it was against policy to admit members of the armed forces.
