Focus DIY will create 27 new jobs

Woking will benefit from a jobs boost with the opening of a new hardware store in the Lion Retail Park.

Focus DIY is due to open on January 21, with a 12,600ft garden centre, and will create 27 new jobs for Woking residents.

Chris Roe, the new store manager, said: "We're very excited to be bringing these new jobs and a brand new store to Woking and I hope it will provide a welcome boost to the local economy in what is a difficult time for everyone."

A spokeswoman for Woking Borough Council said: "Any boost to our local economy is welcomed, as times are really hard on everyone. Jobs are going and shops are closing and this should really boost the town and the local area."

We'd like to hear from you.

Can I order a garden shed from your Woking Store as opposed to Stamford as a friend will collect it for my son's birthday and can I also use my 15% discount card as I am a pensioner and every penny counts.

My privilege card number is 901297447 - 15% discount no. 101297447.

I look forward to hearing from you.
