(L-R)-Michael-Regan,-Michel.jpgWoking's award-winning gallery and registered charity, The Lightbox, is hosting a display for the human rights group, Amnesty International from Tues 19 - Sun 31 May.

The display, composed of a series of panels with images and text about individuals whose human rights are under threat, is open to the public in the lobby gallery on the ground floor.

Woking's new Mayor, Cllr Tina Liddington visited the display in one of her first official duties and met with representatives from the Woking branch of the organization, David Kadzutu and Michele Grieve to hear about the most recent person that they are battling for, Eynulla Fatullajev, who is still in prison.
.

Displays like this one are part of The Lightbox's pledge to support other organizations and charities in their local community. By giving exhibition space to air topical issues, The Lightbox offers the public the chance to become more aware of the important issues affecting our world.

The Amnesty International display can be viewed at The Lightbox from Tuesday - Saturday, 10.30am - 5.00pm and Sunday 11.00am - 5.00pm. Entrance is free.

We'd like to hear from you.
