A concerned Woking resident has expressed his worry at a new 'disease' taking over the town.

John Hunter said he was concerned at the rapid spread of what he called 'Woking Temporary Traffic Light Disease' after being stuck at various road works throughout the borough.

He claims at least five sets of temporary lights have hampered easy commuting around the town the last few weeks.

A teenager was taken to hospital following an road traffic collision on Thursday, November 5 at 7.10pm.

The incident happened on Victoria Road at the junction with Wood Lane.

A 16-year-old male was taken to St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey as a precaution

Goldsworth Road in Woking has been closed following a road traffic collision which happened at around 2.38pm today (Thursday, 5 November).

The road is closed at its junction with Victoria Way and at the roundabout with the Coign Church. Traffic can travel along Victoria Way as normal.

The crash outside the job centre involved three vehicles, a Ford Transit van, a Fiat Brava and a motor scooter.

One man has been taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital as a result of the collision. The air ambulance attended the scene, but the injured party was transported to hospital by road.

It is anticipated the road closures will remain for the next couple of hours.
