Wolsey Place Proceeds Help Local YMCA

On Monday 8th February, Wolsey Place Shopping Centre presented Terry Eckersley, CEO of the Woking YMCA, with a cheque for an incredible £2,173.35 as a special gift from all their fundraising efforts throughout 2009.

Richard Wheeler, Centre Manager at Wolsey Place commented: "It has been a pleasure supporting the Woking YMCA over the past year as the help and guidance they offer young people is so important to our local community."

He continued: "We would like to thank everyone who has helped us raise money for the YMCA as their support has been integral to our fundraising efforts."

The money was raised from the animated Christmas grotto fixture that appeared in the shopping centre in December and the 'Bag of Eco-Friendliness' competition back in April.
